While this is without a doubt, a tragic loss to his friends and families, thousands of young black men die from gun fire in this country every month.
What makes this unusual are the suspects, a married couple, namely Regis D. Kindred, 30, and Kailee Von Foster,. Regis apologized to Alex's family in court and was sentenced to life in prison. Kailee also apologized and was sentenced to six years and three months for her role.

This is a disgusting explanation of what happened and it makes it seem as though Alex was involved in gang activity which he was not in any way shape or form. Alex was out drinking with some friends when he was mistaken for someone else by kindred. Don’t make it sound like they are somehow innocent, they murdered him and you tell people to write to them. Alex was a great person and a college student and an athlete and a worker and was someone who appreciated family. He didn’t deserve to go out like that and you should change how you put this information out there because not only is it wrong, it misrepresents Alex entirely as though he got himself into that situation. The only gang members there were kindred and his wife, pathetic murderers.
