Tiniko Thompson

Police Officer Carl Patrick
In May of 2014, a welfare check was done at the home of Police Officer Carl Patrick, a man who had served the city of Miami for twenty five years. He was found dead in his home in the city of Pembroke Pines.

Tiniko Thompson was always a suspect and the police wanted to speak with her, however she continued to avoid them for a long
period of time. This is suspicious behavior for someone who is technically innocent.

Before Prison
According to the state, Thompson’s warrant says, “ He was on his back in a confined place with a restricted ability to move and his body angled toward the wall at the time he was shot.” The report goes on to say, “The Medical Examiner advised the wound would not be consistent with him shooting himself.”
In addition, according to the arrest affidavit, the autopsy shows “the injury would have been survivable had medical assistance been obtained.” Instead of seeking assistance for him (if it was an accident) she entered and left the home a total of five times, moving her things out of the house.

After Jail
According to court documents, Tiniko faked a pregnancy up until Carl demanded she take a pregnancy test. The test came up negative and she was asked to move out of their shared home. During interrogation, she told police that Patrick hit her and threatened her with a gun and she was
forced to defend herself. Police said she did have cuts and bruises on her in the days after the shooting. This again conflicts with the mystery of her disappearance. If one had bruises and cuts, wouldn't you want those to be documented?

At the end of the day, she was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison without parole.
